I so love The Inside Out Project ... especially this one in Park Slope Brooklyn .....
led by a resident, Dana Eskelson, who was concerned that the local shopkeepers were being forced out of business by the Atlantic Yards stadium project a block away, neighbors on Bergen Street became the first group in New York to join a global art project developed by a Paris street artist known as JR.
The images of 11 immigrant shopkeepers who work in the neighborhood were displayed on 36-by-48-inch black-and-white photographs cut horizontally and displayed on the steps of various brownstones.

I love JR's project, and this is really nice too!
Definitely a creative project!
Amazing! You are truly making me a little homesick for Brooklyn b/c I lived in that neighborhood way back when they were first talking about the stadium and the neighbors were picketing it. They also built a gigantic mall there--so distressing. Wish I had a chance to see these.
I got so excited when I saw those stairs! what a fabulous idea.
So GREAT!!!

ahhah damn love it
What a great idea! I work doing similar "grassroots" projects, but have never seen something so creative. I hope it works out!
