I'm really liking
this piece by public installation artist
Candy Chang ....
Candy explains the concept behind it .....
"I turned the side of an abandoned house in my neighborhood into a giant chalkboard where residents can fill in the blank and remember what is important to them in life. It’s also about turning a neglected space into a constructive one where we can learn the hopes and aspirations of the people around us. It turns out this entire process has been a great lesson, experience, and project in itself ".

Before I die, I would like to travel the world. Mimi xx
That's so cool! Ah, it's a really uplifting piece. x
this is the most awesome thing I've seen! where do you find this stuff?
I think I would finish that sentence with "... see the northern lights". yes, must do that.
.... spend time at an ashram in india.
Great piece!
I would really love to read what people have written.
I ADORE that idea....
I'd love to return to my birthplace with my parents, husband, and children in tow. Among many, many other things.
This is a wonderful idea. So uplifting and a wonderful place for the community to connect.
Amazing concept! I hope they'll do what they wrote there! :)
i love it !
Really clever. Actually you could do one of these in the kitchen at home to remind you of goals.. When kids are gone we will do all the hiking, cooking and riding around the world that we can't do with them....
great concept! oh i would have to write a novel (not so much a book but a book full of what i would have§like to do...) ;))
This is incredible beautiful !! it makes me speechless when you read what people want to do "when they leave this place". For myself ? do something more with my creativity.
before I die, I want to LIVE
great post! just found your lovely blog. Happy & creative new week!

that's fantastic! and i'd be pondering on that all day...
Excellent idea. I hope it gives people pause to think of what they've written and eventually make it become a reality.
Before I die I want to visit Tokyo, visit Venezuela and do a major ocean crossing by boat (not a cruise ship...more like a berth on a freighter or a sailboat).
Such a charming concept! I've seen a similar thing done on the exterior of a house in the back streets of Fitzroy where an artist has painted speech bubbles to encourage passes by to leave a written message instead of graffiti. It's such a lovely way to involve the community in a space!
fantastic post!
before i die... I want to live!
