Artist Nick Lepard's portraits.

Afogato's, one of the best desserts ever, I had kind of forgotten about them until I was reminded here. I definitely plan to make some this weekend.

Anna-Wili Highfield's latest paper bird sculpture of a Raven,  just divine .... more here.
.... and speaking of birds, how great is this photograph by Anna Moller. Click on the image for a better look.
I would love to get my hands on these old lockers.

Really liking these winter coats ...

and the winter afternoon sun on my deck ....

If I was in Paris I would love to be watching a film at "The Summer Moonlight Cinema"

I forgot how funny this site was until I was reminded here.

I was lucky enough to receive this award during the week from this lovely blogger.
The rules are you must say 7 things about yourself and pass the award on to some of your favorite blogs and let them know, so here goes ......

1.  I have a pretty serious magazine addiction, especially foreign ones.
2.  I love French films and listening to Nick Cave.
3.  I live near the beach, but dream of living nearer to the city one day (I am an urban girl at heart)
4.  I am a night owl, I work better at night, in a perfect world I would stay up all night and sleep till noon.
5.  I am really making an effort to not buy anything I don't really need and be a more conscious consumer (excluding magazines).
6.  If I had lots of money I would spend it on Art .... you need art!!!
( and I would also be very generous in giving it away).
7.  I would love to live in Paris for a year.

.... and my awards go to:

Nearness of Distance

No Penny for Them

Jacqui Lewis

L' inventaire de'l esthétique

/// Slow Lane :: Notes

Primoeza

But really there are so many more, I think I will start my own little award for my favorite blog of the week at the end of Friday Favorites starting next week ..... what do you think ???

Hope you have a great weekend

aww, thanks mandy :)
that painting at the start is quite amazing - it's like it's leaping off the canvas.

love the idea of an award at the end of your "friday favorites!" such a generous and thoughtful idea :)

and yes...I too would deem magazines as a necessity!

There is just too much great content in this post, I don't even know where to begin. I had never heard of afogato but I think I'm in love.
