My post on "Childhood Delights" a while back was very well received and I keep coming across so many more great images ..... (especially on this beautiful blog) so I thought Childhood Delights Part 2 was the only thing to do.
 So here we go !!!

big muddy puddles .....

making wishes ......

a much loved teddy bear ........

balloons .....

growing veggies ......

 sparklers .....

Don't you think we should all try to do at least a few of these things ?.... I'll take that afternoon nap for starters !!!!
What is your favorite childhood delight ?

This is one of my favorite books,  such great childhood interiors and gorgeous photography ... this is a book you can judge by it's cover , just beautiful !!!

I am suddenly craving boiled eggs and toast soldiers and, oh, Lordy, if anyone has beaters like that - send 'em my way. I might have smooshed mine in my old Sunbeam. Boo hoo.

loved the picture with the boiled egg.
ok, as for me - nr.1 - no no no! it was NOT a delight (or not always;).
squashing autumn leaves - oh yesss, the smell (!), chocolate beaters (or any dough-beaters), riding bikes, peeling mandarins, playing in the snow. afternoon naps - no, hated them as i was a child but they wanted me to take a nap. but NOW.. oh yes, if i could allow me this :))

going to check out that book, thank you for the link!

so adorable. the good thing is when you have a child you do get to do these things all over again quite frequently

what about books? and reading them one by one by one until you devour the entire series/load and rush back to the library for more? and you can do this because you have nothing else on (except for school maybe but how much does that count? ;). and loooong summers. and playmates. and discovering boys/girls. and icecream. re afternoon naps, i hated them too, was way too active as a child ;)

good to see your post, as always, makes me happy...

Great list. I love that Autumn leaves picture from Petits Bonheurs, I've book marked it too!

The only thing I would have to add is making cubby houses out of two kitchen chairs and an old blanket. I used to love doing that...

xx

oh chocolate beaters! one of my favourite childhood rituals was watching my mum make cakes and waiting patiently to get to lick the beaters. I had to fight my brother for it.
